Diamonds stones are the hardest and fastest cutting sharpening media available. This diamond stone will cut aggressively and leave a fine finish. It will cut 8 times faster than other abrasives. It is made from precisely graded monocrystalline diamond particles bonded to a 5/16" chrome-plated steel base. It can be used to sharpen anything with a cutting edge. Will not hollow or dish with use. Can be used dry but will cut faster and last longer when used with a lubricant. Size is 3" x 8" and has 400 grit abrasive on one side and 1000 grit on the reverse. This set comes with a stone holder to prevent the stone from sliding around when in use. Stone holder features rubber ends, middle support and plated threaded steel rods to resist rusting. It will fit stones 5-1/2" to 9" long.
